The main character in a fantasy story I've been working on... And I like him :'D
He's actually James in an AU. Or so. IDK.

Name: Araël Ales
Species: Ales, or halo-less Angel
Age: 10
Explanation to the "Ales" species:
People who have done good in their lives all go to Heaven, to live forever and wait for their loved ones to join them. But some Angels don't make it to Heaven, because they get distracted by something which happened in their former lives. They never receive or lose their Halo.
God then sends them on a quest to solve the problem which distracted them and so retrieve or earn their Halo.
But, Ales, being technically half-Angels, may lose their memory of the people they knew. And since the Ales change quite a bit when they make their transformation, their loved ones might not recognize them, but they do feel sympathy toward each other.
